Accessibility Statement
Last reviewed: 25 October 2026
This statement describes the accessibility of the WishToSail.com website, operated by Liberty Dreams LTD, and the measures the operator takes to improve the experience of people with disabilities.
1. Context
WishToSail.com is a maritime job platform. It connects maritime professionals (candidates) with shipping and maritime services companies. The site is available in English and Spanish.
The operator of the site is Liberty Dreams LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 12724306, with registered office at Carpenter Court, 1 Maple Road, Bramhall, Stockport SK7 2DH, United Kingdom. For any question about this statement, write to tickets@libertydreams.co.uk.
2. Reference standard
This site is developed with the aim of complying with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA (W3C Recommendation). The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 are the technical reference used for the corrections applied to the site.
This statement also takes into account the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), in particular Annex V, which governs the accessibility information that service providers must make available to the public; and, for users in the United Kingdom, the Equality Act 2010, which requires service providers to make reasonable adjustments so that people with disabilities can use the service.
3. Compliance status
The accessibility audit is run against the live production site using axe-core 4, which automatically evaluates pages against WCAG 2.1 level A and AA criteria. The latest audit was run on 25 October 2026 across 13 public pages of the site: the home page, the job listings in English and Spanish, a job detail page, candidate login, candidate registration, company login, the employers page, this accessibility statement, and the four legal pages (legal notice, privacy policy, cookie policy, and terms and conditions).
| Audit result | Measurement |
|---|---|
| Pages audited | 13 |
| Outstanding level A violations | 0 |
| Outstanding level AA violations | 0 |
| Checks passed (criteria that are met) | between 34 and 47 per page |
The site is compliant with WCAG 2.1 level AA within the scope of the audit described in section 3, subject to the limitations set out in section 5.
4. Accessibility measures
- Every form field has an associated label, so screen readers announce the name of each field when it receives focus.
- Text and background colours meet a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 (success criterion 1.4.3), verified by relative luminance calculation.
- The document exposes the semantic landmarks
header, nav, mainandfooter, which allow users to navigate directly to the main content. - Data tables declare their header cells with the correct
scope. - The site is fully operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator on interactive elements.
- The site adapts to different window sizes and remains usable at 200 % browser zoom without loss of content or functionality.
- Job listings include alternative text for images and machine-readable
JobPostingstructured data for assistive technologies. - Validation errors are conveyed with identifiable text, not by colour alone.
- The site is served entirely over HTTPS and applies security headers (HSTS,
X-Frame-Options,X-Content-Type-Options,Referrer-Policy,Permissions-Policy, COOP and CORP). - The Content-Security-Policy is applied with a per-visit nonce and does not allow
'unsafe-inline'or'unsafe-eval': no script or style embedded in the markup can run without the page's nonce. Verified on 25 October 2026 across the 13 audited pages and the candidate area.
5. Known limitations
The automated audit covers the criteria that can be evaluated automatically. The following items require manual review and are declared explicitly:
- Third-party content: some job listings link to external sites (for example, a company's own recruitment portal). Those pages are not under the control of Liberty Dreams LTD and their accessibility is not covered by this statement.
- Training material and documents uploaded by candidates and companies (STCW certificates, CVs, medical documents): these are files provided by third parties and cannot be given accessibility guarantees by the operator.
- Rich text editor (TinyMCE) in the job posting forms: some advanced editing functions may not be fully operable by keyboard on older browser versions. A plain text alternative is provided for the description fields.
- Testing with assistive technology users (screen readers and keyboard only): the audit has been run automatically with axe-core 4; a full test with assistive technology users has not yet been completed.
6. Reporting a problem
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site, please report it by emailing tickets@libertydreams.co.uk, stating the page concerned and, if possible, the assistive technology and browser you were using. We aim to respond within a reasonable period and to communicate the expected resolution date.
If the response is not satisfactory, and you live in the European Economic Area, you may lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority of your country of residence. In the United Kingdom, the competent authority is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), available at ico.org.uk.
7. Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared on 25 October 2026 and is reviewed periodically. The audit runs against the live production site, not a copy, and its results are the basis for the claims made on this page.
