Full description

We are looking for an experienced Chief Officer to join an Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessel operating in UAE/Oman waters. The vessel, built in 2006, has 4,000 BHP and 500 GRT. The contract offers a rotation of 10-12 weeks on/off, with a salary of 300 EUR per day (approximately 9,000 EUR per month) plus a possible HRA bonus. Joining date is around 15th November. The candidate must have previous experience as Chief Officer on AHTS vessels (minimum 12 months) and proven experience in open-sea towing and salvage operations (minimum 2 or 3 towage operations). Valid STCW certificates and good command of English are required. The candidate must be willing to operate in the Strait of Hormuz, which may involve operations in a conflict/high-risk area, and must be fully aware of the current regional circumstances and comfortable working under such conditions. Under STCW, the Chief Officer is responsible for navigational watches and the safety of the vessel, assisting the Captain in managing operations. On an AHTS, they also supervise towing and anchor handling manoeuvres, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and operational efficiency.
