Select Offshore is seeking a Bosun to join a trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) operating in the United Kingdom. The joining date is scheduled for 23 December 2026, with a contract duration of 6 weeks. A UK work permit (FWP / UK Work Permit), previous experience on board dredging vessels and valid STCW certification are essential.
The Bosun organises deck work under the supervision of the Chief Officer, leading the deck crew in mooring operations, deck maintenance and the handling of lifting equipment. On board a hopper dredger, the role also involves supporting dredging operations and overseeing the suction and discharge systems alongside the rest of the crew.
Under the STCW Convention, the Bosun must hold basic maritime safety training and up-to-date professional documentation. Dredging experience is decisive for this position given the technical nature of the operations on board.
